Well, I didn’t even realize this but the last post I made a couple of days ago was my 100th post on this blog.
In November of 2005 I posted this first item. It was actually on a blogger site also called The Shepherdess Writes. I had not yet seen the light of wordrpess but I eventually made the switch. It looks like I’ve had an average of one and a half posts per month. (Those half posts are always the hardest 😉 )
Clearly there are some big gaps of time in there but, on the whole, there have been posts through second year of seminary, internship, final year of seminary, and now first call. Theological essays, sermons and all kinds of junk. I have enjoyed it.
My hope is that it doesn’t take another five and a half years to get to the next hundred!
Congratulations on your hundredth post! That’s an accomplishment! I love the carved cross in your photo.
Thanks!
The cross is in the chapel at Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary in Columbia, SC where I studied. It’s actually the back of the cross–what you see from behind the altar. The first post on my blog was from the other side.
Thanks for stopping by!
How appropriate that your 100th post is about passing on what you’ve learned to an intern. 🙂 Love your imagery, using the 2 sides of the cross. Beautiful photo too!
Thank you Dianne! You always catch the little things 🙂 Means a lot!
Congratulations! You could now fill a small book with the stuff you wrote for this blog.
Ha! Says the man who gets rid of books and doesn’t back up his blog! 😛
Thanks for stopping by!
Now, now — that’s not completely accurate. I now back up the blog on Saturdays, ever since you scared me straight. Sometimes a whack over the head makes blogging crazy things worth it, just so I can avoid letting mistakes go uncorrected.
Always a pleasure to stop by.
I’m glad to know I’ve been a positive influence on your lax back up habits 🙂
